The Amazon device team designs & engineers high profile consumer electronics, including the best-selling Kindle family of products. We provide customers a fully integrated service with instant access to over 27 million movies, TV shows, magazines, newspapers, books, songs, apps, and games.
The ADS team is part of Amazon’s speech platform organization that provides speech recognition capabilities for a variety of Amazon products and searches, most visibly, the recently launched Amazon Echo product.
Product Manager is a newly created role to build world systems for ADS teams.
We are looking for a Product Manager who can help us shape the future. We want a leader with passion to innovate, who likes working backwards from the customer, and tackling complex ambiguous problems. The successful candidate has strong product and program management experience in platform level products or services. You will drive the product strategy and roadmap that will help us define and scale this business. You must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, be self-driven and deliver high quality results in a fast paced environment. We're looking for people who are smart and get things done. You will:
Ø Define creative, high-quality roadmaps based on team strategy and vision
Ø Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for each product and application
Ø Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance and operational support load
Ø Work closely with engineering teams, design, and program management in an agile environment to deliver products to customers.
Ø Drive product roadmap creation including working with operations, executive team, and other team members
Ø Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues to help the team meet strategic, financial, and technical goals
Ø Interface and partner with all levels of the Alexa and Amazon businesses.
The goal of our work is to provide a scalable and reliable business process management system for ADS.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years experience, with at least 5+ experience in product management for delivering innovative and complex software.
• Conversant with distributed and service-oriented architectures.
• Prior experience working with scrum or equivalent agile software development methodologies.

Successful members of this team collaborate effectively with various technology teams across Amazon. You will work with and mentor an elite team of engineers, skilled at identifying and building solutions cutting across technology teams at Amazon. The ability to prioritize multiple deliverables to meet customer and business needs is critical for this role.
