This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
  • Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Advanced knowledge of architecture, design and business processes
  • Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
    Individual Contribution:
  • Independently design technical solutions using J2EE and RDBMS and messaging technologies Core Java, JDBC,
  • JMS, IBM WAS, IBM MQ, SOA, XML and queue based messaging
  • Develop and unit, integration and performance test components
  • Work closely with the product owner, solutions architect and business analysts to review/produce specifications
  • Manage multiple tasks to cope with shifting business priorities
  • Work in globally distributed teams
  • Coordinate with release teams on production release implementation plans and post release validations.
  • Participate in ticket/issue resolution.
  • Share responsibility for enterprise releases and resiliency events
  • Produce system level documentation as part of production releases
  • Organizational Contribution:
  • Function as an individual contributor
  • Participate in setup teams across Reference Data platforms
  • Participate in knowledge management within Accounts Onboarding stream
  • Contribute towards team/program level metrics management
  • Suggest and take necessary steps in implementing process improvements
    Essential skills required:
  • Around 8+ years of relevant experience 
  • Strong working knowledge of Core Java or similar languages is desired
  • Nice to have exposure to Spring, J2EE stack and Web services
  • Ability to write sql queries is desired
  • Strong fundamentals in data structures
  • Good to have knowledge of Development tools (Ant, Maven, Hudson, Eclipse, Sonar etc)
  • A keen mind and appetite to learn new technologies and tools.
  • Good team player, self-motivated individual with strong analytical, interpersonal, and communications skills (oral, written
  • and interpersonal)
  • Must have a professional attitude and be able to work effectively in a team environment
    Desirable skills:
  • Shell scripting experience
  • Familiar with job scheduling tools like Control-M, Autosys
  • Version control software exposure (Git/SVN)
  • Knowledge of Reference Data or experience in Investment bank would be a plus
  • Application Security and effective programming practices in Java
  • Bachelors or Master Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
