DESCRIPTION
The Employee Engagement Solutions (E2S) team manages multiple work streams that deliver functionality on the HR SFDC platform. With multiple programs deployed on a single SF Org the HR SFDC platform is the largest, most complex and innovative SF implementation within Amazon.
The release management group is seeking a talented Release Engineer to join the team. As a Release Engineer you will help developing build scripts and tools that will improve the efficiency of the development and its build process. Our goal is to automate build and deployment process and implement Continuous Integration. The position will involve working closely with project and QA teams to support ongoing and new projects. We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated, detail oriented Build Engineer who has demonstrated ability to work in a fast-pace and complex software build environment. You will have hands on experience with build automation system to help maintain and improve our overall process.
Requirements and Responsibilities
Responsible for software builds and releases. Responsible for the design and development of builds, scripts, installation procedures, and systems including source code control and issue tracking. Works closely with project teams and quality assurance team to ensure final version is up to organizational standards.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Basic qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, equivalent experience, or related field required
· 3+ years experience or background in Build and Release Engineering for SFDC or similar platform
· 3+ years with ANT, and Eclipse development platform
· 3+ years experience setting up and/or maintaining automated build system such as Flosum or Jenkins
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications
· Direct experience as a SFDC Release Engineer
· Good understanding of the integration between automated software test and the build process
· Familiarity with product development (including C++, Java, XML, messaging protocols, and Web Services), service-oriented architecture
· Working knowledge of Windows and MacOS and their development tools
· Proven experience to thrive in a complex software systems involving multi-platform development environment
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
· Familiarity with consumer hardware development process and lifecycle
